Twitter zieht den Stecker: So weint das Netz um Vine

Für eine kurze Zeit war der Kurz-Video-Dienst Vine eine der angesagtesten Apps im Netz: Videos bis zu 6 Sekunden fluteten ab 2013 die Timeline. Dann bot der boomende Foto-Dienst Instagram ebenfalls die Option an, Video-Schnipsel zu posten, Snapchat begann zu boomen, während Facebook mit seinen Live-Videos nachlegte. Kurze Vines zu posten, erscheint anno 2016 wie ein Anachronismus. Entsprechend handelte der angeschlagene Mutterkonzern nun: Twitter verkündete heute nicht nur die Kündigung von 300 Mitarbeitern, sondern auch das Ende von Vine – das Netz weint.
